Snap a photo of your test strip. PoolDose reads it against a calibrated chart and tells you exactly how much of which chemical to add — for your gallons, your chlorine type.
Free on Google Play. The manual dose calculator is free forever — Pro adds photo strip reading, the full history and the seasonal programs.
No more $400 algae panic.
Prices include VAT and are billed through Google Play; your local price can differ by country. Subscriptions renew until you cancel — cancel anytime in Google Play. Photo reading is capped at 20 strip scans per day on Pro and Lifetime.
Q: Where do I get PoolDose?
On Google Play. It runs on Android phones and tablets and is free to install — open play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pooldose.app, or search the store for PoolDose.
Q: What’s free and what’s Pro?
Free gives you the manual dose calculator for one pool, your last 7 readings, and 3 photo strip scans to try. Pro unlocks photo reading day to day, unlimited pools, the full water history, and the seasonal open and close programs.
Q: How many strip photos can I read?
Three on the free plan, in total. Pro reads up to 20 photos a day — more than a full service round needs, and the cap is what keeps the reading engine fast and accurate for everyone.
Q: Which test strips does it read?
The common 6-in-1 and 7-in-1 strips sold in big-box and pool-store kits: free chlorine, total chlorine, pH, total alkalinity, calcium hardness and cyanuric acid. You can also type readings in by hand, on any plan.
Q: Does it work for salt pools?
Yes. A salt chlorinator still comes down to the same free chlorine, pH and stabilizer numbers, and PoolDose doses for those the same way — salt is one of the parameters it tracks.
Q: What does Pro cost, and can I cancel?
€8.99 a month, €39.99 a year, or €89.00 once for lifetime access — all billed through Google Play, VAT included. Subscriptions renew until you cancel, and you cancel them in Google Play, not in the app.
PoolDose is on Google Play now. Install it free, shoot your first strip, and get the exact dose for your pool.
